Glenrowan Tourist Park is located just 2 kilometres from the township of Glenrowan and is at the base of Mt Glenrowan. Mt Glenrowan is part of the Warby Ovens Park and was a base for the bush ranger Ned Kelly, who used the view point to keep track of the Police. The park has a bush setting with views of Mt Buffalo and Mt Buller, an abundance of bird life, kangaroo and the occasional tree python. Glenrowan is in close proximity of Wangaratta, Benalla, Taminick, Milawa and King River wine regions. We are one of the few places where the Touquoise parrot can be watched The park offers a wide range of accommodation from 3 bed rooms self contained cabin to standard cabins, caravan, and tent and mobile home sites. A new camp kitchen, renovated amenities block and refreshing pool make it an ideal location to get away from the usual caravan park. It is an ideal spot for small caravan clubs and "grey nomads" to stop and recharge batteries, and an ideal stopover for backpackers. We are an animal friendly park but conditions do apply. There are ample areas in and outside the park for walking and bicycle rides, especially the walking track which starts at the park gate and leads right into Glenrowan Township. There are numerous orchards in the area where campers can buy fruit from the grower. Glenrowan Tourist Park is on the Old Hume Highway and is set back into the hill. This offers peace and tranquility. We have been at the park for 4 years and still rtenovating the older cabins. The park is about 30 years old and when we purchased it in December 2006. Comments we have received have only been positive to very complimentary. We are presently developing a new park area which will give even better views of the ranges. We plan to keep the park quiet, friendly and well within accepted price ranges. The park features include:
